AFL Round Six – Power Rankings

Where does your team sit on the Power Ranking standings?

1. GEELONG

One game clear on top of the ladder after a comprehensive victory over the defending premiers, the Cats are well and truly purring.

LAST FIVE: Melb (W), Ade (W), GWS (L), Haw (W), WCE (W).

NEXT FIVE: Ess (H), NM (A), WB (H), GC (A), Syd (H).

2. COLLINGWOOD

A loss to West Coast is the only blemish on their record in their last five matches and starting to settle into the season nicely.

LAST FIVE: Rich (W), WCE (L), WB (W), BL (W), Ess (W).

NEXT FIVE: PA (H), Carl (A), StK (H), Syd (A), Fre (H).

3. GWS

Back on the winners list after their shock loss to the Dockers, as the only team to knock off the Cats they deserve their place at the pointy end of the rankings.

LAST FIVE: WCE (L), Rich (W), Gee (W), Fre (L), Syd (W).

NEXT FIVE: StK (H), Haw (A), Carl (H), Melb (A), GC (H).

4. RICHMOND

Winning form is good form and the Tigers, along with Collingwood, have the longest current streak in the competition.

LAST FIVE: Coll (L), GWS (L), PA (W), Syd (W), Melb (W).

NEXT FIVE: WB (A), Fre (A), Haw (H), Ess (H), NM (A).

5. FREMANTLE

Sitting second on the ladder after six rounds, the Dockers are the surprise packet of 2019 to date. The next three weeks will be instructive.

LAST FIVE: GC (L), StK (W), WCE (L), GWS (W), WB (W).

NEXT FIVE: Ade (A), Rich (H), Ess (A), BL (H), Coll (A).

6. PORT ADELAIDE

The Power have been impressive this past fortnight and will have the opportunity to demonstrate their bona fides over the next few weeks.

NEXT FIVE: Coll (A), Ade (H), GC (H), Haw (A), StK (A).

7. ADELAIDE

After a slow start, the Crows have completed a pair of comprehensive victories over the last fortnight, there may be a question mark over the quality of their opposition but you can only beat who’s up in front of you.

LAST FIVE: Syd (W), Gee (L), NM (L), GC (W), StK (W).

NEXT FIVE: Fre (H), PA (A), BL (A), WCE (H), Melb (A).

NEXT FIVE: Syd (H), WB (A), Ade (H), Fre (A), Haw (H).

10. ESSENDON

NEXT FIVE: Gee (A), Syd (A), Fre (H), Rich (A), Carl (H).

NEXT FIVE: Melb (A), GWS (H), Rich (A), PA (H), BL (A).

12. WEST COAST

It’s the nature of their back to back losses that sees the Eagles so low in the standings. The difference between the best and worst has been considerable given their three game winning streak prior included wins over GWS and Collingwood.

NEXT FIVE: GC (H), StK (A), Melb (H), Ade, (A), WB (H).

NEXT FIVE: WCE (A), Melb (H), PA (A), Gee (H), GWS (A).
