Beating second on Monday and first on Friday, weeks don’t come much better than the one Geelong experienced last week.

NEXT FIVEADEAWBAESSHRICHHSYDA

3. (3) BRISBANE

A long way from their best against the Kangaroos, there’s a reason the usually mild mannered Chris Fagan lost his cool with them. Will look to make a statement against a team keen on their place in the four.

NEXT FIVESTKHCOLLHGCHSYDACARLH

4. (2) PORT ADELAIDE

Live to fight another day after being taught a big lesson by the surging Cats.

NEXT FIVEWBASTKHSYDAFREHGWSA

7. (7) ST KILDA

Bounced back against the Bombers after their disappointing effort against the Cats. Will need to be better this week if they are to record an eighth win in 10 games.

LAST FIVEPAWSYDWGCWGEELESSW
NEXT FIVEBLAMELBAHAWHWCEHGWSH

8. (5) GWS

After a disappointing loss they have the perfect opportunity to reestablish their credentials against the high flying Eagles. If they can’t do so their path to the finals becomes a tight rope.

LAST FIVEBLLRICHWGCWESSWSYDL
NEXT FIVEWCEAFREACARLHADEAMELBH

9. (11) CARLTON

Jack Newnes breathed life into their season with his after the season winner against Fremantle. The fixture is kind enough if they are good enough.

LAST FIVEPALNMWHAWLWCELFREW
NEXT FIVEGCACOLLHGWSASYDHADEH

10. (10) COLLINGWOOD

Things are looking shaky for the Magpies, simply cannot afford to lose either of their next two if they are to genuinely contend.

LAST FIVEWCELFRELSYDWADEWMELBL
NEXT FIVENMHCARLABLAGCHPAH

11. (8) FREMANTLE

Will consider themselves unlucky given the way the match ended but 16 points after quarter time isn’t going to win you too many football games.

LAST FIVEWCELGEELCOLLWHAWWCARLL
NEXT FIVESYDHGWSHRICHAMELBANMA

12. (12) WESTERN BULLDOGS

The Bulldogs again prove they are a class above the bottom teams but will need to beat some good teams on the way home if they are to play finals.

LAST FIVEGCWRICHLPALBLLADEW
NEXT FIVEMELBHGEEAWCEHHAWAFREA

13. (17) SYDNEY

A thoroughly deserved win for a young team that is going about their footy the right way.

LAST FIVEGCLHAWWSTKLCOLLLGWSW
NEXT FIVEFREAPAAMELBHCARLABLH

14. (14) ESSENDON

The ladder suggests they are still in the hunt but they are a long way off the good teams. With four games to come against teams in the top six they have the chance to prove us wrong if they are good enough.

LAST FIVEADEWBLLGWSLGCDSTKL
NEXT FIVERICHHHAWAWCEAGEEAPAA

15. (13) HAWTHORN

A sixth loss in seven games is making that Carlton comeback look more and more like a last hurrah for 2020.

LAST FIVEMELBLSYDLCARLWFRELWCEL
NEXT FIVEPAAESSHADEHSTKAWBH

16. (15) GOLD COAST

Falling into the trap of honourable defeats, need to claim a scalp again soon or risk losing the gains they made earlier in the season.

LAST FIVEWBLGWSLSTKLESSDRICHL
NEXT FIVECARLHNMHBLACOLLAHAWA

17. (16) NORTH MELBOURNE

Gave the Lions a fright but couldn’t avoid a ninth defeat in 10 games.

LAST FIVECARLLADEWGEELMELBLBLL
NEXT FIVECOLLAGCAPAHFREHWCEH

18. (18) ADELAIDE

Three games and percentage behind 17th, the wooden spoon is all but assured but can they break through for a win?
