Struggled to put away the Crows but with eight wins from their last 10 games they remain one of the teams to beat in 2020.

3. (3) BRISBANE

It’s not often that having six more scoring shots than your opposition raises more questions than it answers but that is the case for the misfiring Lions. They did enough to sink the Saints but their waywardness in front of goals could prove costly come finals.

4. (4) PORT ADELAIDE

Got the job done and continue to cling tightly to their position at the top of the ladder.

5. (5) RICHMOND

Like we say each week, weren’t at their best but a top four finish remains within reach for the defending premiers.

6. (7) ST KILDA

Again showed they can compete with the top teams but when you haven’t played finals for nearly a decade, question marks are hard to shake. Wins in their next two starts should just about do it though.

7. (9) CARLTON

Blues supporters are starting to talk about a return to the finals in 2020. Their clash with the Magpies this weekend will go a long way to deciding if this remains just talk.
